I got dial-a-shotted by Donkey Puncher but am ashamed to say was not awake to answer. It did make me laugh my ass off on the way to the hospital yesterday.

Home improvement guru that I am, I have already broken out my DeWalt 18V cordless and doubled the shelving in the kids' closets as well as cut new slats for one of the beds. Every once in a while I start to think about what the price of injuring my moneymakers works out to - but then I tell myself, fuck it; life's too short and making shit is fun.

lucko and mitch and gnome are going strong. in the immortal words of stoner: GLGLGL. wish i was still in the hunt, but haven beat fair and square I am just looking forward to Entourage.

Oh yeah, will likely go busto on FT soon and can't see myself reloading. I won't bore you with details, but too much walking, shoes worn thin, too much trippin' and my soul's worn thin.

Well okay maybe I don't feel THAT bad, but I could use a change of scene.

God am I a donkey.

To my credit I've never asserted otherwise. And I'm about as arrogant as they come, so you know that's been difficult.

The more I've thought over that last hand, the more I dislike all my decisions (trust your first instinct is the real take home point for me) and the more I understand that I am clearly getting worse at the only form of poker I was ever even mediocre at. Yeeesh.

Now if you can tell that fact is not exactly breaking my heart, then it's a clear and perceptive eye you possess. I have bigger fish to fry these days. And frankly, life is going so beautifully I am just savoring the good; understanding well there remains the bankable oscillation between smiles and tears along this temporary veil.

We are in the new house and I gotta say, Money Well Spent. It fits my and U's asthetic perfectly - big open floor plan, lightly stained hardwoods everywhere, about 42oo sq ft. with an unfinished walkout basement which I'll get to next year (have already chalked off the Man Cave area). In-law suite for dear ole Mother-In-Law (free babysitting has never been this expensive). It backs onto a pond we share with ten other houses and is far enough away from everything that the Milky Way unfolds across the sky sometime around 1am. A half-hour commute is a small price to pay to relearn the constellations with my kids.

And more than this? My TempurPedic bed. If there is one product in the history of the universe I would wholeheartedly endorse, it is this swedish masterpiece. Buy one. And lay your head down on the dark side of the moon. Instant obliviation.
